What
we do We design and build web sites for the business (or individual). We can build from scratch or incorporate your own graphics and copy. We see your web page(s) through from inception to publication and announcement. We build a page that suits your needs, publish it, and submit it to the major search engines so potential customers can find you. Okay, how much is it gonna cost me? We charge a very reasonable hourly rate for our page design. Many other designers give quotes by the page. We feel that this is misleading. Some pages require hours of work, some require 15 minutes. If you pay by the page, which kind of page do you think you'll get? We also charge hourly for all our graphics work, including scanning. Charging by the scan is also misleading. While the first scan may take 15-25 minutes, additional ones usually only require 5-10 minutes each or less, depending on format and size. A typical one-page site with images costs
$100-$250. The per-page cost of additional pages drops off from there. We use the first
page as a template to give your site a consistent look and feel, as well as save you
money. We have produced several 5-15 page web sites for less than $1000. How can I keep my costs down? You can provide your own text. We know design, and we're pretty good at writing copy, but nobody knows your business better than you. If you provide copy about your business in an electronic format, that reduces the amount of time we spend on your page. You can also provide your own images. Custom images
cost money. We can use images from our library of clip-art or we can scan pictures you
provide. Where do I find my page? Many of our smaller clients have chosen to have their page hosted by their internet service provider. This service is provided by many ISPs for no charge. We can also host your page(s) on our domain. We provide this service for as little as $5 per month, billed twice a year. This does not include maintenance of your site. If you wish to change or update your site to reflect new products or specials, the normal hourly rates still apply. There is a 1/2 hour minimum, but an update will still cost much less than the original site. We can also assist you in setting up your own
virtual domain. The advantages are obvious. You get an address that looks professional and
is easy to remember. (www.yourname.com) You also get plenty of space to tell
potential customers about your product. The disadvantage is cost. Depending on features,
this will cost around $30 per month, plus a setup fee of about $150. Remember, this
doesn't include site design. How do my customers find me? People who have never heard of you will find you by using search engines and directories on the Internet. You should also put your web address on your business cards, brochures, and all your other advertising. Anything that would have your phone number should also have your web address. Potential customers can look on the Internet for information about you that won't fit in a Yellow Pages ad.
